A long time ago, there were two neighbors. One was extremely rich while the other was extremely poor. But while the poor neighbor slept without care, the rich neighbor could hardly sleep, for he was always worried that his wealth might be stolen.
One day, the rich neighbor thought of helping his poor neighbor. So, he went to him and said, “I wish to help you. Take this pot of money.” The poor neighbor was ecstatic. He could not believe his eyes. He had tears of joy in his eyes and said, “Thank you for your generosity.”
Later, as night fell, the poor neighbor lay down to sleep. But strangely, he could not sleep. He kept worrying about the pot of money.
When day dawned, he returned the pot to the rich neighbor saying, “I could not sleep the whole night because of this. I value my peace more than anything else.”
Moral: Money is not everything.
