Once, there was a sweet little lamb. He used to go to the meadow with his flock to eat the lovely soft grass. But unknown to him, danger lurked out there. A big bad wolf kept a watch on him.
One day, the wolf attacked the lamb and carried him away. But the lamb was very clever. He said to the wolf in a flattering tone, “I have heard that you play the flute beautifully. No one can match you. Before you eat me, I would like to hear you play the flute.”
The wolf was very flattered to hear this. He took out his flute and began to play. The lamb kept telling him to play different tunes.
Meanwhile, the shepherd and the dogs heard the flute. They immediately got into action. Seeing the wolf, they attached him and drove him away. The lamb happily went back to his flock.
Moral: Keep your wits about you. (To be ready to act in a difficult situation)
