Once, two parrots lived in a forest. One day, a hunter caught them and presented them to the king. There the parrots were kept in a golden cage ad looked after well. They become the center of attraction. The older parrot said to the younger one, “We are highly respected in the palace. I am very happy.” The younger parrot agreed.
One Day, a hunter gifted a black monkey to the king. The monkey performed lovely tricks, and soon, he became the center of attraction. The poor parrots were neglected.
Now, one day, the monkey performed such feats before the prince that he got scared. The furious king ordered his men to leave the monkey in the forest. In time, the parrots again became the center of attraction. They were well treated again.
The older parrot said wisely, “Life is all about ups and downs. One should not be depressed by temporary unfavorable changes.”
Moral: Time keeps changing.
