Once in a village, two people were sitting under a tree near a temple. Both were very close friends. Then suddenly a stranger came there and he too started resting with both of them.

After sometime the traveler said… he is feeling very hungry, do they both have anything to eat?? The first man said… I have 3 bread’s, the second said I have 5 bread’s; we all eat together by sharing.

After that the problem arose that how can 8 (3+5) bread’s be divided among three men??

The first man advised and said that let’s do this by making 3 pieces of each bread, that is, 8 bread will become 24 pieces (8 X 3 = 24) and 8–8 pieces will be equally divided among all three of us… Everyone’s stomach will also be full.

The rest of the two men liked his opinion and after taking 24 pieces of 8 bread each satiated their hunger by eating 8 pieces of bread and then slept in the temple premises itself at night.

After getting up in the morning, the third man thanked both of them for their favor and lovingly gave 8 gold coins to both of them in exchange for 8 pieces of bread and left for his house.

After he left, the second man said to the first man, we both divide 4–4 coins.

The first man said…no I had 3 bread’s and you had 5 bread’s, so I will take 3 coins, you have to keep 5 coins.

On this both of them started arguing.

After this both of them went to the priest of the temple for solution and told him their problem and prayed for the solution.

The priest is also confused as both are fighting to give more to each other.

After thinking for a while, the priest said, you guys leave these 8 coins with me and give me time to decide, I will be able to answer tomorrow morning.

Although the priest was feeling good about 3–5 of the other man’s heart, but still he fell into a deep sleep thinking deeply.

After some time, God himself appeared in his dream, and then the priest told all the things and prayed for judicial guidance and said that I think only 3–5 divisions seem appropriate.

God smiled and said — No, the first man should get 1 coin and the second man should get 7 coin’s.

Hearing the words of God, the priest was astonished and asked astonishingly- Lord, why so?

God once again smiled and said…..no doubt that the first man made 9 pieces of his 3 bread’s but out of those 9 he divided only 1 and ate 8 pieces himself i.e. his sacrifice was only 1 piece of bread. So he is entitled to only 1 Coin.

The other man made 15 pieces of his 5 bread, out of which he himself ate 8 pieces and distributed 7 pieces. That’s why he is entitled to 7 coins according to justice. This is my math and this is my justice!

Hearing the exact analysis of God’s justice, the priest bowed down and the next day divided the counties in the same way.

So it is not important how rich and prosperous we are. Rather it is important that how much sacrifice is there in our service.
