A small child of 6 years often insisted on meeting the God in person. He did not know anything about the God, but the desire to meet him was plentiful, infinite. His wish was that he should eat one time’s meal while sitting with God.
One day he kept 5-6 chapati in a bag and set out to find God. While walking, he came far away, it was evening time. He saw an elderly mother sitting on the bank of a river, whose eyes were very bright, there was love in her eyes, she was looking for someone, and it was as if she was sitting there waiting for him, watching his way.
That innocent child went to the elderly mother and sat down, took out chapati’s from his bag and started eating them. Then when he remembered something, he extended his hand with a chapati towards the old mother and smiled and started looking at her, the old mother took the chapati, strange happiness came on the wrinkled face of the mother, there were tears of happiness in her eyes.
The child was looking at the mother, when the mother eat the chapati, the child gave another chapati to the mother. Mother was very happy now. Looking her the child was also very happy. Both of them spent many moments of love and affection with each other.
When the night started to fall, the child started walking towards the house with the old mother’s permission and he would look back again and again! So the elderly mother is looking towards him too.
When the child reached home, the mother saw her son coming, she hugged her loudly and started kissing. The child was very happy. When the mother saw her child so happy for the first time, she asked the reason for happiness.
So the child said! “Mother ! ….today I ate chapati’s sitting with god, you know mother she also ate my chapati’s, but mother god is very old, I am very happy today mother… I am really very happy today…”
On the other hand, when the elderly mother also reached her home, the villagers saw that mother is very happy, so someone asked the reason for her being so happy..??
Mother said, “I was sitting hungry alone on the bank of the river for two days, I knew God would come and feed me. Today God had come, he ate chapati’s by sitting with me, fed me with a lot of love, and looked at me with a lot of love. He also hugged me while leaving, God is very innocent, looks like a child.”
The meaning of this story is very deep. In fact, the only thing is that both of them had great true love for God in their hearts. And the God came by himself in both, for both.
When the mind is engrossed in devotion to God, we see the same in every living being.
